Porcupine Tree

Porcupine Tree

Porcupine Tree is a British progressive rock band formed in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. It is the most successful project by musician Steven Wilson, as evidenced by its growing popularity. A mix of early progressive rock, psychedelia, ambient and, more recently, metal is present in their recordings. This shouldn't come as that much of a surprise given that self-taught audio engineer and producer Wilson listens to many different genres of music for inspiration. Wilson once commented: "I like so many different types of things, and they all go into the melting pot, if you like, that produces the music of Porcupine Tree."

Here is one of there songs u can download it if u want :)

Marty Casey

Marty Casey

Marty Casey is the lead singer for Lovehammers, a Chicago-based modern rock band. Recently Marty was runner-up on Rock Star: INXS, Mark Burnett´s reality series centered around the search for the new lead singer for the rock band INXS. While on Rock Star, Marty became a fan favorite and introduced his original tune "Trees" to much acclaim, prompting co-host Dave Navarro to say "I could hear that song on the radio today." Their debut album on Epic Records, titled Marty Casey and Lovehammers, was released January 24, 2006 and features the song "Trees." Marty Casey and Lovehammers are touring in 2006 and have just completed the first leg of the INXS Switched On tour as the opening band. Thom Yorke's Single The Eraser

Eraser

It is expected that Yorke will release The Eraser, an album of solo material, on July 10, 2006 in the UK and July 11, 2006 in the U.S. [4] Produced and arranged by Nigel Godrich, featuring cover art by Stanley Donwood, it is due to be released on the independent label XL Recordings. Thom has said that this album will be "more beats & electronics" and has denied that it means he is leaving Radiohead stating "I want no crap about me being a traitor or whatever splitting up blah blah... this was all done with their blessing, and I don't wanna hear that word solo. It doesn't sound right." The album was leaked onto the Internet in its entirety on May 30, 2006.

German 2006 (FIFA World Cup)

FIFA

The World Cup begins its monthlong run, with host Germany beating Costa Rica and Poland losing to Ecuador. Billions are expected to tune in to the event, in which 32 national teams compete to be named the best on Earth. For now, that title belongs to Brazil and their fans

FIFA World Cup History

FIFA

No other sporting event captures the world's imagination like the FIFA World Cup ™. Ever since the first tentative competition in Uruguay in 1930, FIFA's flagship has constantly grown in popularity and prestige.

A group of visionary French football administrators, led in the 1920s by the innovative Jules Rimet, are credited with the original idea of bringing the world's strongest national football teams together to compete for the title of World Champions. The original gold trophy bore Jules Rimet's name and was contested three times in the 1930s, before the Second World War put a 12-year stop to the competition.

When it resumed, the FIFA World Cup™ rapidly advanced to its undisputed status as the greatest single sporting event of the modern world. Held since 1958 alternately in Europe and the Americas, the World Cup broke new ground with the Executive Committee's decision in May 1996 to select Korea and Japan as co-hosts for the 2002 edition.

Since 1930, the 16 tournaments have seen only seven different winners. However, the FIFA World Cup™ has also been punctuated by dramatic upsets that have helped create footballing history - the United States defeating England in 1950, North Korea's defeat of Italy in 1966, Cameroon's emergence in the 1980s and their opening match defeat of the Argentinean cup-holders in 1990....

Today, the FIFA World Cup™ holds the entire global public under its spell. An accumulated audience of over 37 billion people watched the France 98 tournament, including approximately 1.3 billion for the final alone, while over 2.7 million people flocked to watch the 64 matches in the French stadia.

After all these years and so many changes, however, the main focus of the FIFA World Cup™ remains the same - the glistening golden trophy, which is the embodiment of every footballer's ambition.
